Eric Pittman

Sales Consultant (Victoria)
Eric has long served the customers of Van Isle Windows, joining the team in 2004. He began this career from learning about construction and then spent several years installing glass blocks in Victoria. It wasn't long before he opened a glass recycling foundry and manufactured items from the waste glass in Victoria. After a decade of operating the glass foundry, Eric moved into sales, and very soon was employed at Van Isle Windows. Nova Scotia was his teenage stomping grounds before heading west to pursue his helicopter pilot license. He then spent several years as a helicopter bush pilot, fighting forest fires to heli-logging. Eric lived some early years in Russia, Europe and areas in Canada as his father was posted to several different foreign bases during the cold war. One of the highlights of his artistic career had him presenting to Prince Charles and Lady Diana. He has been on several BBC wildlife film crews and is one of the directors of Canadian Orca Rescue Society, an environmental organization which brings a message of conservation to schools and community groups. Being awarded the Medal of Bravery by Governor General Adrienne Clarkson was one of his greatest honors.
