Van Isle patio doors are available in a variety of colours and styles to fit any home decor. Our standard colour is white, but virtually any colour is available as an option using a specially formulated coating which is guaranteed not to chip, crack, flake, or cause the window frame to warp or buckle. Internal grids are available. High performance glass may be added to enhance thermal efficiency and meet Energystar rating requirements.

Made To Last A Lifetime

Van Isle patio doors are constructed from hollow, multi-chambered, high impact resistant polyvinyl chloride that won't warp or fade over time. All component parts are made from painted aluminum alloy or stainless steel to resist corrosion. Reinforced vertical mullions add structural stability and strength. The integral fin is strategically placed for added support and ease of installation. Van Isle patio doors open on tandem nylon rollers with stainless steel ball bearings, so they open smoothly and evenly for life.

Keeps The Cold Out

Vinyl is heat loss efficient - so cold doesn't pass through and heat doesn't escape. In addition, the construction techniques of Van Isle patio doors add to their energy efficiency.

Materials

All frame sections, meeting rail and sash members are multiple-chambered, hollow construction, highimpact resistant PVC. All component parts, accessories, and fastenings are aluminum alloy, stainless steel, plated steel, or non-metallic materials which resist corrosion. The perimeter frame contains a pre-punched nailing fin for easy installation.

Construction

Perimeter frame corners and sash members are mitered and welded together to form a rigid weathertight bond. All units are constructed so as to drain any moisture freely to the exterior using a low point/high pressure weep system.

Colour

The PVC is a solid colour throughout with ultraviolet reflective properties to protect against discoloration and is available in white as the standard, but virtually any colour is available as an option using a specially formulated coating which is guaranteed not to chip, crack, flake, or cause the window frame to warp or buckle. Colours may be applied to the inside or outside or both sides of the door to meet your design requirements.

Warm Edge Glazing

Insulating glass units are hermetically sealed to provide a warm edge, moisture free dead air space and are NFRC certified. Tempered safety glass 4 mm. thick is used in all patio doors.

Hardware

Sliding panels glide on tandem style nylon rollers and are equipped with a secondary locking system which is foot operated for ease and provides additional security. Ventilators are fully weatherstripped around the entire perimeter with a moss and mildew-proof wool pile weatherstripping, silicone treated to repel water. Locking handles are steel mortise type.
